Partner Program Terms
These terms apply to everyone approved into the Cicero Partner Program. Cicero is an accredited school, and an overclaim from a partner is a real risk to that accreditation and to the families who trust it — read this in full before you post anything.
Disclosure
You must clearly and conspicuously disclose your relationship with Cicero on every piece of content that mentions us or links to your referral code, consistent with FTC endorsement guidance. This is not negotiable, and failing to disclose is grounds for removal from the program.
What you can claim
Once you’re approved, we send you a short list of pre-approved claims about Cicero — use those rather than improvising. Two hard rules regardless: don’t invent outcome statistics (test scores, admissions rates, or anything similar) that we haven’t given you, and don’t describe Cicero as guaranteeing admissions, grades, or any other outcome — it doesn’t. If you state our accreditation, state it exactly as accredited with NCA CASI, NWAC and SACS CASI via Cognia.
Prohibited activity
- Paid search advertising on Cicero brand terms.
- Listing on coupon or cashback sites.
- Spam of any kind — unsolicited email, comment spam, or similar.
- Representing yourself as Cicero staff or as speaking on our behalf.
- Targeting anyone under 18 directly with partner content.
Any of the above is grounds for removal from the program, with commission forfeited as described below.
What counts as a referral
Self-referral doesn’t earn commission — you can’t refer yourself or your own household. Existing families don’t either: a referral only counts for a family with no prior enquiry on record with us. Referrals are attributed on a first-touch basis and stay attributed to you for 90 days from that first touch, so a family that took weeks to book still counts as yours.
How and when you’re paid
Commission has two components: a flat fee once someone you referred completes a qualified consultation, and a percentage of revenue if that family enrolls, calculated over their first 90 days with us and capped per family. We confirm the current rates when you’re approved, and we can change them going forward — a rate change never affects commission you’ve already earned.
A confirmed referral sits as a pending commission for 30 days before it matures — this protects against a booking that falls through or an invoice that gets refunded in that window, in which case the commission reverses rather than paying out. Matured commission is gathered into a monthly statement; we only issue a statement once it totals at least $50, otherwise it rolls into the next month. Once issued, we pay within 15 days. We’re telling you the whole timeline up front: from a first click to a paid statement can reasonably take a few months. This program rewards patience, not speed.
Ending the partnership
Either of us can end the partnership at any time, no reason required. Commission that has already matured but not yet been paid out still gets paid; commission still pending (within its 30-day window) does not survive the termination.
