Kelly Stinson has more than 20 years of experience teaching elementary students in a range of classroom settings. She brings a strong foundation in elementary education and a warm, student-centered approach to her teaching, with a focus on creating an environment where young learners feel supported, engaged, and ready to explore. Her experience working with students with different needs allows her to adapt her approach to meet each child where they are.
Kelly holds a Master of Arts in elementary education from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Eastern Illinois University. Her academic training, combined with more than two decades in the classroom, gives her a deep understanding of how young students learn and develop.
Throughout her career, Kelly has worked in a variety of elementary classroom settings, building extensive experience supporting students at different stages of their academic development. She understands that young learners do not all approach school in the same way, and she brings flexibility and attentiveness to her work with each student.
For Kelly, effective elementary teaching begins with building a strong relationship with the student. She aims to create a nurturing but stimulating learning environment where students can develop confidence, curiosity, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Her experience allows her to adjust the pace, structure, and approach of instruction to suit the individual student, while maintaining the structure and support young learners need to thrive.

My philosophy of teaching begins with creating a nurturing environment where students feel known, supported, and excited to learn. I believe every student has unique strengths, interests, and ways of learning, and I take the time to understand what helps each child feel confident and engaged.
I use differentiated instruction and a variety of hands-on and activity-based approaches to make learning meaningful. I set personalized goals and adjust the pace, structure, and level of support to meet each student where they are. I especially enjoy finding creative ways to connect lessons to a student’s interests and strengths.
Most importantly, I want students to develop confidence and persistence. When something feels difficult, I work with students to find a new way forward rather than letting frustration become a stopping point. My goal is to help each student recognize what they are capable of while developing a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
