With over 25 years of experience in teaching somatic movement courses, Patricia specializes in nervous system regulation, proprioception, and brain balancing through various modalities. As an entrepreneur, she has successfully managed a private studio while advocating for a deeper understanding of the connections between body, brain, and education.
In the last decade, Patricia has homeschooled her own children using an integrated approach that combines somatic movement and academia, providing a unique educational experience. She believes in the mind-body connection, emphasizing the importance of aligning body systems to open neural pathways in the brain, fostering curiosity and learning. Patricia is currently pursuing a Master of Liberal (Arts and Sciences) Studies at Lake Forest College, focusing on dysregulated nervous systems in education.
As a Somatic-Education Integration Consultant, Patricia works closely with families, coaching students on whole system wellness, executive functioning, alternative education options, personalized curriculum, college readiness, and personal statement essays. Her diverse background includes a BA in English/Art Therapy from the University of Wisconsin and certifications in various somatic practices.
Patricia is passionate about reading, painting, nature, and travel. Her motto: "The world is full of possibilities for those who believe all of life is an educational experience.
