I aim to make the fascinating world of food history accessible and enjoyable for all my students.

Seren Charrington-Hollins is a culinary historian with a specialization in British cuisine over the ages. She has authored several books, is a sought-after speaker and television personality, and has taught food history to students across the age range.

Seren is the author of A Dark History of Tea, a socio-cultural exploration of this most British of drinks, and Revolting Recipes from History, which has been featured on multiple television shows and print articles.

Seren also specializes in curating banquets and historical dinner parties for private clients and television.

Seren has appeared on various television programs including BBC 4’s “Castle’s Under Siege,” BBC South’s “Ration Book Britain,” “Pubs that Built Britain” with The Hairy Bikers, BBC 2’s “Inside the Factory,” Channel 4’s “Food Unwrapped,” and more.

Her latest book, “Revolting Recipes from History,” received acclaim and was even translated into Japanese.
