Our personalize online Calculus course is designed for you based on your learning style, your history with math, and your future ambitions. Because this course is designed for you and delivered one-to-one we can go as fast as you’d like or as slow as you’d like—or both: fast when you’re in a groove and really getting it, and slower when the concepts come a little more slowly.
Our Online Calculus Course at a Glance
You will meet with your dedicated teacher in online sessions 1-3 times per week, leveraging tools like Jamboard and a tablet and iPen in order to work together collaboratively. This approach helps to unlock deep learning and a rich back and forth, which, in our experience is key to understanding the such key calculus concepts as limits, derivatives, integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.
Calculus Personalized
Our approach to calculus education is highly individualized. If you’re planning to pursue higher studies in mathematics or related fields, the course can be designed to provide a strong foundation in advanced calculus concepts, linear algebra, and other college-level mathematics. The syllabus and content are continually shaped and refined to align with each learner’s style, pace, and ambitions, ensuring readiness for college-level challenges and beyond.
AP Calculus & Exam
Students who already have a very strong background in high school math may want to opt for our AP Calculus course, instead, which aligns with the AP curriculum and is designed to prepare you for that exam.
Online Calculus Course Structure
The course is structured to cover the essential topics of a rigorous high school calculus curriculum, including but not limited to:
- Limits and Continuity: Understanding the concept of limits and exploring the properties of continuous functions.
- Derivatives: Comprehensive study of derivatives, including techniques of differentiation, and their applications in various contexts.
- Integrals: Introduction to integrals, methods of integration, and their applications, leading up to the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.
- Differential Equations: Basics of differential equations and their role in modeling real-world scenarios.
- Sequences and Series: Exploration of sequences, infinite series, convergence, and divergence, including the study of power series.
- Parametric and Polar Equations: Study of parametric and polar coordinate systems and their applications in calculus.
- Vector Calculus: An introductory look at vector calculus concepts, including vector functions and fields.
- Multivariable Calculus: A foundational understanding of calculus in multiple dimensions, preparing students for advanced college-level topics.
Onward
Throughout this Calculus course we’ll aim to challenge ourselves theoretically and practically by exploring calculus in real-world contexts, ensuring a deep and practical understanding of the subject. By the end you’ll emerge a more confident math student, ready for college level STEM.
