Homeschooling Online with One-to-One Courses

All Cicero courses are custom built to meet the needs of a student and their family. Subject matter, syllabus, duration, cadence, and approach are all shaped around the student and the family’s goals. This is personalized learning.

That said, we’ve put together an offering of courses to give you a sense of what we can cover, and how we can help you meet your educational needs.

Core Courses

We offer a full range of core courses that you would find in any great school (private or public), geared for primary, middle, or high school aged learners. This includes all levels of English language arts (ELA), math, sciences, social sciences, and languages.

Electives and Topicals

We also have a fantastic range of specialized topical courses, which might be considered “electives” in a traditional curriculum; but are increasingly seen as giving kids exposure to diverse topics and a taste of what’s in store for them in college and the real world.

This includes:

We are constantly innovating in this area and bringing new topical courses online each semester. We can also find a teacher with the right expertise for any course you’d like to design. (The only limit here is our collective imagination.)

Tea Course for High Schoolers

Recognizing that colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad increasingly want homeschoolers, worldschoolers, and other alternative schoolers to have some Advanced Placement (AP) courses on their transcript, we offer a wide range of AP courses taught by teachers with deep experience teaching AP. Although these courses are delivered one-to-one (or in a learning pod) and tailored to the student, they also follow the AP syllabus. For students who plan to couple this course with the AP exam, the course will include a significant amount of exam prep, especially in the last weeks.

We can also help with scheduling the exam.

Cambridge

Lastly, we offer the full range of the Cambridge curriculum, including IGCSE, AS, and A Level courses, which is especially useful for a student considering university outside of the U.S. The teachers who teach these courses have been trained in the Cambridge curriculum and have deep experience teaching this method. As with AP, we can design a Cambridge curriculum course on its own, or with a view towards sitting the IGCSE, AS, or A Levels exams. To learn more, view our full list of courses.
