Adam holds a BA in Latin American Studies with a minor in World Literature from Whitman College, and is in the process of finishing up an MA in Spanish Translation from the University of Puerto Rico.
Adam spent nearly 20 years in the food and beverage industry as a subject matter expert on wine and tea. This unique expertise gave him the opportunity to work informally as an educator, sharing his knowledge with customers and colleagues in an effort to help them better understand and appreciate the products they needed to sell.
Adam has lived all over the U.S., and spent extended periods of time traveling in various parts of the world, but now calls Jersey City, New Jersey his home with his wife, son, and yellow labrador Nora. In his free time he enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, traveling, skiing, and going to live concerts.
I have always learned best in tight-knit environments, when the teacher is passionate about embarking on a collaborative journey to discover new things with their students. That same approach is top-of-mind for me as a teacher, that I can learn as much from the students as they can learn from me, so long as I believe in them and give them a chance to shine. It is my goal to help each individual unlock some of their potential, and light the spark that triggers a genuine love for life-long learning.
