Carlos Sunza is a Spanish educator and self-taught jazz and classical music composer from Mexico. For the past ten years, Carlos has taught Spanish to students online and in-person using different tools like music and video games. He is a dynamic teacher who builds strong rapport and adjusts his curriculum to meet the needs of his students.
I believe that teaching is a reciprocal way of learning because it allows the student to learn something new and the teacher to improve their skills. I also believe that learning begins with friendship and trust, that everyone is capable of teaching something to somebody else, and that one’s knowledge, no matter how little, matters and should be preserved.
Growing up, the teachers that impacted my life in the most positive ways were ordinary people whose sole interest was to inspire me to dream and always be curious. I know now that I want to honor their legacy by being truly invested in my student’s success and growth.
