For a student who opts to prepare for the exam, in order to be properly prepared (and confident), we will incorporate exam prep throughout the course, exposing you to the format and expectations of the AP art history exam, and allowing you to familiarize yourself with the types of questions and the timing of the test. Mock exams, practice questions, and sample responses are provided to enhance exam readiness. In the final 2-4 weeks of the course we’ll switch into 100% exam prep mode, including guidance on effective exam strategies, time management, and prioritizing key concepts. You and your teacher will also engage in targeted review sessions, reinforcing critical knowledge areas and addressing common misconceptions.

The AP art history exam is considered moderately challenging—not one of the harder exams, but certainly not easy! To study well for the AP art history exam you should begin early with a full-year course dedicated to the subject that is carefully designed to level up to the exam. Then, in the final four weeks you should shift into high gear with practice tests, work on the questions that you got wrong, and test taking strategies like reading the questions first and time management.
