Svetoslav Georgiev

Svet is a Bulgarian-based animator and software developer who earned his undergraduate and master’s degree in advanced animation technology from Varna University.
After a variety of life and job experiences that brought him from Ohio to Alaska and back to Bulgaria, Svet became an educator in the local school system in Bulgaria.

Svet has deep experience helping kids understand technology and how to to become creators rather than mere consumers. His passion is 2D animation using Adobe software, and he runs in-depth courses that combine physics, engineering, design, and a bit of coding to help kids learn how to master the powerful tool of animation. His courses are super fun, too!

Teaching Philosophy & Approach

One of the most important things for me is to hold a safe space for kids to share and connect. To bring my best self to each session and give multiple opportunities for students to share and interact. Trying not to be the dominant voice but to give the students the ability to express themselves is an important aspect of my approach as well.

I always try to help students connect with the topic of the subject and establish strong and firm teacher-students relationships that are not formal but more like friendship. And last but not least It is really important for me to inspire students and help them develop their interest in the desired topic/subject and when possible, enable collaboration.
