One of my favorite analogies goes something like this: Educators are akin to gardeners, not engineers. They don't make the plant or flower; it already exists. They are merely the ones to tend to its growth. Education, at its finest, is personalized to the student in a way that engages and sparks curiosity. When teachers actively encourage students to follow their passions, dig deeper into their own thoughts and beliefs, and critically engage with the local and global community around them, students feel empowered to take their learning deeper and in turn, become the changemakers our world so desperately needs.
“Jenny’s organization of our syllabus and weekly workload is impressive. I love the dynamic of topics we are covering within biology. Biology is also just a difficult subject for me, so it’s been invaluable to have Jenny there helping me along the way.”
